The Christmas Shopping Checklist

Okay, so you’re busy in your 9 to 5 job or in your daily obligations at home, that you forgot it’s Christmas coming Sunday?

Because we’re here with our Christmas Shopping Checklist which will come handy to all you last minute kind of people.

So, fret not, you’re still in the running to make this XMAS the best XMAS ever.

Christmas Tree

Traditionally, real conifers like pine or spruce with their beautiful needle foliage are decorated to be used as a Christmas tree. Since we live here in Kerala, an artificial tree is our only option. So, go for a tree that uses a good quality material to ensure maximum durability. It’s not like you need a new tree every year.

Tree shapes include the ones with full-fledged foliage, the narrow and the slim ones. As for the height of the tree, choose a tree corresponding to the space available at your house.

Christmas Decorations

Getting a tree is just the tip of the iceberg. The real work begins when you start the decorations.

Once adorned with apples, nuts, and other edibles, Christmas tree decorations have come a long way. There are some-haves decoration items such as an angel or a star to be used as tree topper; ribbons and garlands; ball shaped hangings(baubles); candy canes and figures of Santa Claus, snowman, turtle doves, animals, snowflakes, etc. Or you can just buy and hang any decorations you like. They all look beautiful anyway.

Christmas Crib

With the crib, we try to imitate the scene of the birth of Jesus Christ. So it must have figures of infant Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. Additional figures of angels, shepherd, sheep and other animals are optional. Also, the crib comes in a wide range of sizes.

Christmas Lights

No wonder Christmas lights are called fairy lights. They immediately take you to a whole new beautiful place. So you are not allowed to miss these ones out.

Most commonly used Christmas lights are the multi-strand cascading LED lights and string lights. Here the options are plenty. You could go for the traditional white light or multi-coloured lights. No, we’re not done yet. Among the white lights, you could choose either warm or cold tones. You can either limit the lights to the tree or just decorate your entire house with it. Your call.

Christmas Star

Symbolizing the Star of Bethlehem, Christmas stars begin to show up on rooftops of houses, in shops, malls, on the streets at the start of December.

Putting up a tough competition to paper and plastic stars, LED stars seems to have gained the popularity this season. Since these LED stars are easy to handle and they come in dancing single and multi-colour, they are surely getting more preference.

Christmas Cake

Though the market is flooded with wide varieties of Christmas cakes, nothing can beat our very own traditional Christmas plum cake. Now don’t forget to buy a good brand’s cake. But if you’re in a mood to try something new, go ahead, indulge your taste buds to the endless choices of this season.
